Produce, or manage the production of, design and construction documents for bridges from concept through construction - This effort may include development or review of design calculations
Provide lead technical support and undertake technical analysis and design of highway bridges and other structures, including developing new methods and techniques, to complete complex or unique studies
Undertakes and project manages rail and road bridges, and associated structures engineering schemes, from inspection and assessment, feasibility through to detailed design
Develops plans, specifications of conventional new bridge design projects rehabilitation projects
Demonstrated experience in managing complex road and bridge projects and meeting delivery requirements
Solid business development skills and the ability to build strong client relationships
Effective collaboration, degree and level of input and professional assistance given to key contacts including all staff and suppliers
Demonstrated experience in managing road and bridge projects and meeting delivery requirements
Undertake and manage road/rail bridges and associated structures engineering schemes from feasibility through to detailed design
Required Skills/Abilities:
You will have high level technical skills in current inspection, assessment and design and be able to lead teams of graduate and senior engineers in such projects
Design experience of major civil engineering structures
Detailed understanding of the design process and interfacing with multiple disciplines
Good knowledge of structural mechanics and fundamental engineering principles
A dedication to good quality engineering
Ability to think creatively and solve structural engineering problems quickly and efficiently
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree desirable.
