Role Synopsis:

Reports to Head of HR. HR Generalist is in-charge of talent acquisition, onboarding & orientation, employee relations, performance management, career and succession planning, policy implementation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Executes recruitment strategy through a variety of means including universities, job fairs, external recruiters, and traditional print and internet postings; write and place advertisements; screen and interview, create and maintain Applicants Tracking Database.
  • Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Oversees implementation of organizational training agenda, including occupational and non-occupational trainings; participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure training objectives are met. Create and maintain Employee Training Tracker and Training Vendors database.
  • Partners with management to provide guidance on Human Resources policies, procedures, programs, and projects.
  • Provides support in the management of employee performance, development, succession, and career planning processes.
  • Receives and effectively handle employee complaints, proactively reveal and escalate potential employee relations matters to the management.
  • Conducts and analyze exit interviews, recommend changes.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with state employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Develops and maintains company organization charts.

Desired background:

  • University Degree in Law, Economy, Psychology, Business Administration, or Social Sciences
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HR Generalist role
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • HR certification (CIPD, HRCI, SHRM) will be considered an asset

Required skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, problem-solving and sound judgement skills
  • Proficient with advanced use of MS Office programs, knowledge of SAP is an advantage
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Time management and ability to meet the deadlines
  • Business fluency in Azerbaijani and English are required, Russian will be considered an asset.
