The Junior Logistics Specialist supports daily work of the Logistics Function by following processes and procedures related to freight forwarding and customs clearance, and coordinates logistics of goods to and from internal suppliers and / or affiliates.

Qualification:

  • Degree in business administration, logistics or related field preferred
  • 6 months + of relevant experience;
  • Working experience of Incoterms (FCA, DAP, DDP, EWX, FOB, etc.)
  • Understanding of the Trade Compliance basics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office / internet and email skills
  • Good management, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Communications skills in English & Azeri. Knowledge of Russian is an added advantage
  • Good communication, teamwork and leadership skills
  • Logical and systematic approach to work

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Locate, analyze, and develop logistics partners, both domestically and internationally to satisfy Logistics requirements
  • Develop long-term relationships with existing logistics partners
  • Find out the most cost-effective means or method of transporting supplies
  • Obtain best prices amongst various freight forwarders in order to make sound purchasing decisions
  • Negotiate with freight forwarders on price and delivery in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet both client and company needs
  • Prepare shipping, custom clearing documents and clear goods
  • Organize and manage goods and transportation
  • Communicate with vendors and freight forwarders to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of goods
  • Responding to customer inquiries regarding shipment status
  • Preparing and reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Tracking shipment within timelines from collection until delivery as per Incoterms
  • Addressing and resolving all logistics / shipment issues

Working conditions:

  • Registration according to the TC AR
  • Work schedule : 5 day
  • Salary 800 – 1000 azn
