Key Functions:

  • Fully understanding the operation of the Purchasing department and all procedures of internal control in the Hotel;
  • Ensuring that all orders for purchasing department are in compliance with Hotel policies and procedures;
  • Controlling the level of stock for each stockroom, and preparing an analysis of slow-moving items;
  • Checking daily reports of received goods and supporting documentation;
  • Checking that procedures and time frames for issuing goods are being followed;
  • Checking regular reports for issued goods and determining that all orders are correctly posted;
  • Making sure that equipment in purchasing department (e.g. scales for measuring goods) is in proper condition and that is being used properly;
  • Preparing reports for F&B, Rooms and OOD costs on a weekly / monthly basis and delivering them to the Management of the Hotel;
  • Performing inventory count on a monthly basis and informing Financial Controller about all discrepancies that have been found;
  • Arranging menu pricing;
  • Preparing any other cost evaluations required by the Director of Finance or any other Head of the Department;
  • Making market price observations on monthly basis.

Job Requirements:

  • At least one year of experience in similar scope and title;
  • Bachelor´s degree in finance or relevant field;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Azerbaijani and English (Russian is an advantage);
  • Ability to work with the basic MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Internet);
  • Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Able to make decisions and impact.
